Akaka Falls

I took a trip over to the other side of the Island of Hawai'i to enjoy the natural beauty of Akaka Falls and its surrounding area. It's been a while since I've been there, so I was surprised to find a $5.00 parking fee. But if it helps pay for an attendant to oversee the parking area, its worth it.
Akaka Falls is about 10 miles north of the town of Hilo.

This is a very beautiful waterfall. I have seen all of your pictures and it looks like Kona has the most happiest & cheerful people I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing.
