Lunch in Kailua Village, Hawai'i

Pho (Vietnamese soup) at Ba-Le, next to KTA on Palani Rd. They have a $5 mini portion menu that's great.

Chicken salad with broccoli, cucumbers, walnuts, grapes, raisins, and tomato at Kimagure Deli in the Kona Marketplace off of Ali'i Drive for $6.00 plus tip. An older Japanese couple run it, and service can be slow if crowded.

The Tostada Ceviche at Tacos El Unico Mexican Food is a $3 standby, also in the Kona Marketplace on Ali'i Drive. Wednesdays is $1.50 tacos.

A Basil Roll at Taeng-On Kona Thai food in the Kona Inn Marketplace on Ali'i Dr. Delicious.
